Snowprint Ambassadors

What is a Snowprint Ambassador?

There is a private group of players under NDA we call the Snowprint Ambassadors. It is not particularly glamorous. There are no robes or secret handshakes, and being a member is its own reward – there are certainly no in-game perks or privileges. It’s just a group of expert players who provide perspective during our development process.

What kind of player are you looking for?

The kind of person who will make a good Ambassador is a player who loves the game, enjoys helping other players learn about the game, and can provide thoughtful feedback that is detailed and at the same time doesn’t lose sight of the big picture. An Ambassador is passionate about the game, but does their best to be civil. Finally, an Ambassador is someone who has candid conversations directly with developers regarding upcoming features and changes, and participates in early beta testing, without making those conversations or test details public.

An Ambassador isn’t a player who is obligated to answer questions. While we’re delighted that some of our player Ambassadors take the title literally, the choice to be public about their involvement with the program is entirely up to them. Some of our best Ambassadors prefer to stay entirely anonymous, and that’s okay with us.

An Ambassador is also not responsible for any of the features or decisions within the game. Those decisions are owned entirely by the development team.

What are the requirements?

There aren’t many requirements. You need to be over 18, so you can sign the NDA, and you need to have been a regular player for at least three months.

That’s it. You don’t need to be elite or on the leaderboards or in a famous guild. As a matter of fact, we’re in need of more casual players – it’s hard to find Ambassadors who are both passionate AND casual in terms of daily time played!

Most important is your personality. We need people who are calm, thoughtful, discreet, and kind. It’s difficult to judge a personality of someone who lurks more than they talk, of course, but we pay close attention to how a nominee interacts with others in Discord and on Facebook. The conversations behind the scenes can get pretty intense, so “getting along with others” is crucial.

Note: The discussions are all in English, so you need to be able to speak English well enough to argue about the game, but we need players from all over the world in order to keep us on the right track.
